Bad Translations
Bad Translations
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
Colossians 1:13-14
Have you got your mail today? The USPS is pretty faithful to deliver what has been addressed to you, aren’t they? Well God has delivered something addressed to His children and He is faithful to do so. He has given us liberty from sin. Freedom to be His children showing forth Christ.
There is an argument that will probably go on until Christ returns and it is that of Bible translations. Are you KJV, NKJV, MEV, ESV, NLT, NIV, or whatever translation you want to throw in the mix. People can get very angry with those who don’t use their preferred translation. Here is the problem that I see though...no matter what version you prefer to use, what do you do with it? Do you live out the Words that are in it. You see each one, ALL of them are mere translations of THE WORD OF GOD, Jesus Christ. I will say there are some better than others, but if you don’t live them out in obedience out of the Love you have for Christ, you have become the Bad Translation.
God has given His Children everything they needed to be the best translation of Christ they can be. Don’t be a Bad Translation.
