Why Not Ask?!
“for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Matthew 7:8
James tells us that we have not because we ask not. Think about this...if I am a child of God and God is Love, which makes Him the Loving Heavenly Father, doesn’t it track that He would want me to have what I need to honor Him? Isn’t it just a logical train of thought to believe that if what I need will make my life show forth who He is all the more, that He would not just grant it, but richly supply all my needs according to His riches in Christ...now make sure you understand what that means in order to really know what it is we are asking, seeking, and wanting doors to open for. This is not about how good we want our lives to be but it is about how much we want to honor Him with our lives. This is about showing others the richness of God’s Great Love! This is about the kingdom of God, of which I am a citizen, who is an ambassador in this present time. James also says this, we also have not because we ask for the wrong reason...the wrong reason is anything other than wanting to honor God with my life. Now, if you have a desire for others to know just how Good God is...Ask Him to Help You Show Them! Seek Him to help you find just how that is done! And when opportunity arises, knock on that door and see if it won’t be opened!!!
