That Is What It Is There For
Therefore...There, For
”Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.“
Romans 5:1-2
Guilt and condemnation are slave masters. Conviction is godly sorrow. There is a difference. Conviction never sticks around. The Holy Spirit brings conviction to the heart of God’s child who has grieved the Holy Spirit. If that child ignores that conviction, the grieved Holy Spirit pulls back the conviction and allows sin to run its course as that the working of the Spirit is now grieved. When sin has its way and the sinner comes to a place of guilt, it brings its sister, condemnation. They stay as long as we allow them. There may be some godly sorrow time and again, because God is merciful and loves His children. This is a passage to remember and cling to! I have been made to look just as if I had never sinned before God the Father...justified IN Christ. I have peace with God...this is the bouncer of guilt and condemnation! I only have access to this place of justification if that’s what I believe, as that it is in my faith of the sufficient works of Christ Jesus! This is the place to dwell! A place of peace, joy, and God’s Glory! Glorying in the Hope we have in Christ...coincidentally this is also a place that is void of sin and temptation which are the cousin’s to guilt and condemnation. Are you in a place of guilt and condemnation? If so, that is what this verse is Therefore!
