Real Life
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:11
Everyone wants to choose their own way. We all want to pick how we live and hope we make the right choices so that life seems worth living. Now we all have a different perspective on how our life is to be lived. Here is the main problem with this, if you are a child of God. God’s Word has a proverb that says something like, “there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of man’s way is death” (that’s a larryphrase). We may think we know what’s best for us or what we want but we don’t think the way God does! He has told us that His thoughts towards us are good! His end for us is good! So why do we struggle to just let God choose our life?
Romans 8:11 is our verse for today and it says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” God wants us to KNOW that we don’t have to figure things out, we don’t have to try to make ourselves happy or even pursue happiness. All we need is to let Christ live vicariously through us. God gave us HIS Spirit to bring our spirit to life so we might have real life!
If God has promised us victorious real life and all we have to do is have faith that He will give us that real life if we just surrender ours, why are we holding on so much to the vanity that our perspective of life is? The answer is simple, because we want to. Let that simmer for a bit.
