No Doubt
No Doubt
”And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.“
Zechariah 14:9
Life is at best, unpredictable. I can make plans...and I love making plans, but inevitably those plans will be changed due to things that are out of my control. Control is something I crave when it comes to scheduling my life, yet there is no doubt that I have no control over my life. You see, I have this King. He is my Master. He has called me here to serve people. Not just the people that I pastor here at Faith, but the people in my community. He has called me to serve my family. He has placed me where I am because this is where He wants me. He is a sovereign King. He is a Holy King. He is a true King...but He is not a fair King. He is not fair because there have been so many times and I’m sure will be, that I reject His leadership and guidance. There have been times as His ambassador that I have made His kingdom look small and petty. There have been times I have made His name seem insignificant. There have been times that I have horribly misrepresented Who He is. I am so glad He is not a fair King, but He is a loving, gentle, and good King.
You may not see Him as your King, but let me make you aware of something...one day you will see Him as the King of Kings. Zechariah 14:9 foretells of this, “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.“ The Bible also says that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Christ is King and Lord.
You may be saying, “Ok, Larry, what’s your point?” Well, here it is, I strive to let Him be my King now...I am practicing for what is going to be an eternal kingdom, because I have NO DOUBT that it is going to be. I can’t see a reason to wait to do what is inevitable. I also have no doubt that you will do the same one day, so I ask you, Why Wait?
Let that simmer for a bit.
