It's Very Simple
It’s Very Simple
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
Why do we complicate things? Why do we convince ourselves that there has to be another way? I mean why can’t I just live how I want and God bless me anyway? I mean isn’t He supposed to accept “just as I am”?
It is an amazing fact that God does accept us just as we are. Broken, sinful, prideful, and rebellious it doesn’t make a difference, God accepts us just as we are! However, He cannot accept the unrepentant. To be repentant means that we have been humbled by the broken, sinful, prideful, and rebellious state we are in. It means we are sick of being broken, sinful, prideful, and rebellious therefore we seek Him and His grace. To be repentant means we stop accepting ourselves as broken, sinful, prideful, and rebellious as we turn from our current state unto being like Christ.
It’s really very simple, but only if you see yourself as you are, not as you want to be. What we want doesn’t matter, that is the part where we humble ourselves. Then see yourself the way God does...in Christ! Because IN Christ, you’re heard, healed, and forgiven!
