Will You Be Led?
Will You Be Led?
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
Psalm 32:8
The psalmist is be used to speak to us by God. This is God saying, “hey, let me lead you! I have great vision for you!” God then uses an illustration. A horse being led by it’s rider is led by placing a bit in their mouth. The horse doesn’t understand the intentions of the rider. The horse does not know the heart of the rider, it simply knows that a pull to the left means turn left. As God’s Children and more importantly the Temples of the Living God, we carry Him around with us. He is our Rider and wants us to take Him the directions He wants us to go. Unlike the horse, we can know His intentions and we can know His heart. We aren’t some soulless creature without a greater understanding that God is for us. That He loves us and desires to be with us. We must also understand that this has to be His way. He has a much greater vision for our lives than we do. He sees the destination He has for us and desires to get us there. This isn’t about getting to heaven but about being heavenly. Being like a citizen of His Kingdom here as Holy Representatives. Not better than non-citizens, no, we are recruiting for the kingdom!
Now this will only happen for those that will be led by His In-dwelling Spirit. We can use both our eyes as best we can and never see the future God has for us. A future He sees in singular vision! He has the 20/20 focus to get us where He wants us. So, will you be led?
