What Do You Know?
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
There are things that I have done thousands of times. Things that I know the exact process to best complete the task. What is crazy is that life has a way of throwing the proverbial curve ball into the process which brings what I know into question. No matter how many times I have done something and no matter how sure I am, this twist of fate will make me doubt what I know.
So too, in a spiritual aspect, I know that God is doing His work in my life. You might say, “when is He doing the work?”, and my response is, “when is He not doing the work”. I know that He is...I mean I know it...like for real, I know God is working in my life...but. There is always this curve ball so to speak that will make me stop and wonder if God has forgotten to take care of something...to consider the frightening thought that maybe I have missed a turn He wanted me to take.
I praise God that how I feel, what I think I know, and the flood of doubt that seems sometimes like a tidal wave are powerless and impotent to God. They hold no bearing in my life other than what I allow to replace my faith. My faith is to be in what God says in His Word. He said “all things” are being used for His glory and my good. ALL THINGS...every single little curve ball and twist of fate are simply part of God’s plan. Think about this for a moment. What about when I take the wrong turn or choose to get myself into a situation God didn’t design by allowing sin to overwhelm me? Then God can’t do anything with all things, right? WRONG!!! Even when I am in sin, God’s working to bring me back to Him! The correction, conviction, and comfort all Him! Now He doesn’t want us delving in sin so He can save us out of it...His design is far greater if we would just lives as His justified children.
What do you know? I mean you know that you know? Got it? Ok, how many times have you doubted what you know? Never??? Liar! It’s ok, God wants me to have faith and will used what brings me doubt to bring me a greater resolve if I let myself rest in His Works!
That’s what I know!
