Leave the Light On
Leave the Light On
“but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7
We are going to walk. There is no laying about in life...even if you are a lay-a-bout type person, that is just the style of walk you have chosen. I can honestly say that it is never my first choice to walk in the dark, physically speaking. The reason is quite simple. I am allergic to pain. Pain hurts, like a lot. I would dare say that my pain receptors are WAY more sensitive than that of the average person. (this is just another way of saying that I am a big baby) If I choose to walk in darkness then it is pretty much a forgone conclusion that I will have to endure some pain...or mild discomfort if someone is watching. Do you know what else is quite difficult if I choose to walk in the dark? Walking with someone. I can’t see where I am going and neither can they and neither of us know when one of us will take a “trip”. There is also a chance you could be walking with the wrong person...you can’t see after all and it is much easier to hide who you are or what you are doing. If only there was away to avoid all these problems?! I hope you are having a “light bulb” moment...if you are, leave the Light on!
